Women's Retreat 2010 September 17th, 18th and 19th
2010 Women's Retreat Registration Form

Each year for the past four years, upwards of 40 women from First Presbyterian Church of Ambler have enjoyed a weekend at St. Mary of Providence Retreat Center in Elverson, PA., about an hour's drive from Ambler.
Perhaps "enjoyed" doesn't say enough. We have learned about ourselves, gotten to know others better, expressed ourselves in ways we never thought we could; we've played, laughed, sung, prayed and treasured the company of Christian friends. Sometimes it's magical, sometimes it's sobering, but it's always meaningful. It's always wonderful. Just the sheer beauty of the fall season, and this gracious mansion, make it worth the trip. But there's so much more.
This year’s retreat team consists of Sharon Davis, Carol Dugan, Deb Koziol, Marilyn Lobley, Connie Morgenson, and Holly Stevens. The theme for the weekend is “Longing for More: An Invitation to Spiritual Transformation.” A few of the things we’ll focus on are how we can use scripture, prayer, and fellowship to facilitate spiritual growth.
The 2010 retreat is the weekend of September 17th, 18th, and 19th. This is a month earlier than last year, so we hope for nicer weather. We arrive Friday in time for dinner and leave Sunday after lunch and a Communion Service. The cost of $120 includes all meals and supplies, and there is confidential scholarship money available.
Give Cindy Reed your completed registration form (or slip it in her church mailbox). Please make your checks payable to the church with “Women’s Retreat” on the memo line. If you want to participate but need to pay later, please complete your registration form as soon as possible so we have an idea of our group’s size and you can pay at the September 8th Retreat meeting.
If you are unable to attend but wish to contribute to the scholarship fund, please submit your donation to the church office, marked accordingly. Those of you attending that also wish to contribute to the scholarship fund can mark the registration form and include your contribution with your retreat payment. Even a small contribution helps and is much appreciated.
Please plan to join us. Call the church office (215.646.3030) for further information or if you have questions. The registration deadline is Wednesday, September 8th. This is also the date of the Retreat meeting, held in the church parlor at 7:00 p.m. for planning to attend. Here, we sign up for rooms, designate our roommates and find out what we can bring to the retreat to make it more fun for everyone. Directions to St. Mary of Providence are distributed at that time.
